Ministry of Energy: due to strikes by the Russian Federation, there were blackouts in 5 regions

As a result of Russian attacks on energy facilities, on the morning of December 3, more than 17,500 consumers in the Kharkiv region, about five thousand in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions, as well as consumers in the Kherson region, were additionally cut off, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported.

In addition, according to the Ministry of Energy, there were blackouts at night in the Odesa region, but as of the morning all subscribers had already recovered. “In Odesa region, as a result of a night attack, one worker was injured and taken to the hospital. “Emergency restoration work is ongoing, energy workers are working continuously to restore power supply as soon as possible,” the message reads.

The Ministry of Energy reminded that hourly outage schedules and capacity limitation schedules for industrial consumers and businesses continue to be applied in all regions of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of autumn, the Russian military has intensified its attacks on the Ukrainian energy and gas infrastructure, which supplies people with gas during the heating season. As a result of the attacks, emergency power outages occur. In Ukraine, due to damage to energy facilities as a result of Russian shelling, hourly blackout schedules and capacity limitation schedules are used for industrial consumers and businesses.
