As a result of the Russian strike, eight coal mines in Dnipropetrovsk region were de-energized, and 2,595 miners were underground at the time of the strike, the Ministry of Energy reports in a telegram.

According to the Ministry of Energy, rescue workers and mine personnel quickly organized the removal of people to the surface. According to preliminary information, there are no dead or injured.

“Russia continues energy terror. Another blow put the lives of thousands of miners at risk. Russia continues to fight civilians. The tactics of the Russians are clear – to leave Ukrainians without light and heat in winter,” said Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
