Details: UP journalist Mykhailo Tkach, who searched for Mindich in Israel and spoke with him, reported that it follows from the conversation with the businessman that he is not ready to return from Israel to Ukraine and testify. “To summarize, Mr. Mindich is not ready to return (to Ukraine – ed.), he will be in Israel, like the other person involved in this case. Having Israeli citizenship is very convenient,” the journalist noted.

Mindich also called the accusations against him “manipulations” in a conversation with a UP journalist.
“In general, (Mindych classically comments on the accusations against him). How we found Mr. Komarnytskyi (former deputy of the Kyiv City Council Denys Komarnytskyi, who is suspected of fraud with land – ed.) at the beginning of the year, who unexpectedly fled and was wanted in Ukraine… in the end, Mr. Mindych says almost the same thing and pretends that these (accusations against him) are manipulations,” said Tkach.

Prehistory:
- On the morning of November 10, it became known that NABU was conducting searches of businessman Timur Mindich and at that time Minister of Justice Herman Galushchenko. At the same time, UP sources reported that Mindich had fled abroad a few hours before the searches.
- On the same day, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine reported that it had uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme for the embezzlement of funds in the energy sector, as well as made public audio recordings of the negotiations of the participants in this case.
- On November 11, journalists revealed the names of all those involved in the investigation of mass corruption at Energoatom, who received suspicion from NABU. According to the information of the “Schemes” project, Timur Mindich (who is called “Carlson” in the NABU audio recordings – ed.), ex-advisor to the Minister of Energy Ihor Myronyuk (“Rocket”), Dmytro Basov (“Tenor”), executive director of security at “Energoatom”, Oleksandr Zukermana (“Sugarman”), Ihor Fursenko (“Ryoshik”), Lesya Ustymenko and Lyudmila Zorina received suspicions.
- Five persons from the list of suspects have been detained. Two of them – Mindich and Zukerman – left Ukraine.
- On November 12, “Kvartal 95” reacted to the suspicion of businessman and co-owner of the studio Timur Mindich, which NABU announced as part of the case of corruption in the energy industry, stressing that he does not participate in the studio’s activities and does not influence its content.
- On November 13, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to impose sanctions against Mindich and businessman Oleksandr Zukerman.
- On November 22, it became known that Ukraine has announced a wanted list of persons involved in the “Midas” case, Timur Mindich and Oleksandr Zukerman, who are suspected of committing corruption crimes.
