Prehistory:
- On January 17, 2025, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine was informed about the suspicion of committing the crime under Part 3 of Art. 27, Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
- The investigation calls Bondar one of the organizers of the scheme when purchasing cable and conducting products at inflated prices.
- NABU and SAP reported that the persons involved in the case organized a back office that allowed to control Ukrzaliznytsia. As a result, UZ tenders with high prices won firms that were under the control of the People’s Deputy and other persons involved.
- The Supreme Anti -Corruption Court decided not to take Bondar in custody and identified him with a pledge of UAH 100 million. The SAP prosecutor requested that the People’s Deputy with a possible pledge of UAH 200 million. Bondar did not make a pledge within a specified period.
- On February 14, WAKS replaced the suspect with a preventive measure and arrested it with the right to make a pledge of 100 million. Subsequently, the court reduced the pledge several times to 75.7, 69.64, and then – to UAH 60.5 million.
