Details: The report says that Mertz called US President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
“The four heads of state and government discussed the state of negotiations on the ceasefire in Ukraine. Intensive work on the peace plan should continue in the coming days,” added the spokesman of the German government.
According to him, the leaders agreed that this is a “decisive moment for Ukraine and common security in the Euro-Atlantic space.”
Earlier on Wednesday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced new talks and meetings with partners this week that may bring news to end the war.
Zelensky on Tuesday reported on the completion of work at the level of national security advisers on the proposals of Ukraine and Europe for the “peace plan”.
