Details: The head of the Italian government took part in a meeting in Paris dedicated to negotiation initiatives on finalizing security guarantees for Ukraine.

The government noted that “these guarantees are inspired by Article 5 of the NATO charter, as Italy proposed a long time ago.” They will become part of a wider package of agreements that will be adopted in close coordination with the US, including “an effective and well-structured mechanism for monitoring the future ceasefire and strengthening of the Ukrainian armed forces.”
