Details: According to AFP sources, last week Germany and France have submitted the European Commission to impose sanctions on Lukoil and its trade subsidiary Lyvasco.

They also insist on bringing oil refineries in third countries involved in the export of Russian oil to the EU to the EU’s sanctions list, and trade companies engaged in Russian oil, said agency interlocutors.
From Berlin and Paris, there was also a call to strengthen sanctions against companies outside Russia, which help Moscow to bypass sanctions and the fight against cryptocurrency schemes in Central Asia, AFP writes.
EU diplomats have told the agency that the discussion of the 19th Package of Sanctions is still in the initial stage and it is still unknown what proposals would be included in the final project of the European Commission.
Sanctions will need the support of all 27 European Union countries, including Hungary, which, through energy partnership with Russia, can oppose sanctions against Lukoil.
