It is known that the missile compound of the 13th Missile Division of the Strategic Missile Forces of the Russian Federation is located in Yasny.
This is one of 11 points on the territory of the Russian Federation, from where long-range land-based missiles, including those equipped with nuclear warheads, can be launched.
“Military”, after analyzing the video, writes that an explosion occurred on board the rocket during the flight, as a result of which it lost control and fell to the ground. After that, the remaining unused rocket fuel exploded.
The resulting large-scale orange cloud indicates that it was a liquid-fueled rocket.
Literally “Military”: “It is known that Soviet intercontinental ballistic missiles R-36M2 “Voivode” were used at this missile site. Starting in 2019, they began to replace them with a missile complex with a guided hypersonic combat unit “Avangard”.
In 2022, one of the regiments of the 13th division was rearmed at the “Avangard” complex.”
Details: According to the media, the carrier of the “Avangard” combat unit can potentially be two missiles: the Soviet UR-100N and the Russian intercontinental ballistic missile RS-28 “Sarmat”.
However, the use of the RS-28 “Sarmat” is unlikely, since, despite the Russian announcement of the acceptance of the missile into service in 2023, it continues to be haunted by numerous catastrophic failures during test launches.
