Details: It is reported that after the Ukrainian military carried out several successful landings of special forces on the western coast of Crimea in 2023, the Russian military built a line of defense here and prohibited access to the beach for local residents and tourists in most of the territory.
Because of this, they cannot clean the beaches from fuel oil. The occupiers are allegedly trying to find a “solution to this problem”, but so far “military priorities prevail over ecological ones”.
Prehistory: Two tankers “Volgoneft 212” and “Volgoneft-239” sank in the Kerch Strait on the morning of December 15. They were broken in half, and fuel oil began to leak into the water.
