According to Bloomberg, Ukraine will propose to amend the new project on minerals, including the promise to increase US investments.
Earlier, the Financial Times and the Bloomberg Agency, which have become acquainted with the new project of the agreement, reported that the United States insisted on the conclusion of a new agreement with Ukraine, which will extend to all natural resources, including oil and gas, as well as the main energy assets of the country.
According to FT, the United States does not offer any security guarantees in this agreement. The previous version of the agreement also did not contain those security guarantees for Ukraine that Zelensky insisted on.
Trump has promoted an agreement since the beginning of his second term in January. Both parties were ready to sign an agreement on natural resources in February, but it was postponed after the meeting of Trump and President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the oval office turned into a dispute.
