The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that he had a meeting with the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk, thanked him “for combat work and offered to focus on this kind of work.”

Zelensky instructed Vasyl Malyuk to make the direction of “Ukrainian asymmetric operations the strongest in the world.”
The president also reported on a meeting with the head of the Special Operations Center “A” of the Security Service of Ukraine, Yevgeny Khmara, with whom he discussed the possibilities of systemic development of the Security Service of Ukraine and special operations that are currently being prepared.
Earlier, a number of mass media reported that the resignation of Vasyl Malyuk from the position of head of the SBU is possible. He headed the special service since February 2023.
According to the legislation, the chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine is appointed and dismissed by the Verkhovna Rada at the request of the president.
