French President Emmanuel Macron supported the recognition of the Palestinian state, but noted that it should exist without Hamas fighters.
He wrote about it in X.
The French leader noted that he supports the right of Palestinians to the state and peace, as well as the right of Israelites to live in peace and security, recognized as their neighbors.
“Here is the position of France – it is clear: yes, peace. Yes – the security of Israel. Yes – the Palestinian state without Hamas, ”Macron wrote.
He stressed that this requires the release of all hostages, a long cease cease, immediate restoration of humanitarian assistance and finding a political decision on the basis of the principle of two states.
According to Macron, the only possible way to implement it is political.
He noted that the conference to solve the problem of the two states that will take place in June this year should become “a turning point. ”

“Together with our partners, I do my best to achieve this goal of peace. We really need it. To succeed, we should not weaken our efforts. Let’s not succumb to the easy ways and provocations. Do not allow to spread misinformation and manipulation. Above all, let’s stay alone, ”Macron emphasized.
On April 10, Macron stated that France considers the possibility of recognizing the Palestinian state in June. He also said that in response, some countries of the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, recognize Israel.

According to the Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez, the decision is not directed against “anyone, especially against Israel. ” He added that the country recognizes Palestine within 1967.
