French President Emmanuel Macron spoke with US President Donald Trump by phone on the eve of a meeting of European leaders on Ukraine organized in the Elysee Palace.

The head of the French Foreign Ministry Jean-Noel Barro said on February 16 that Macron would hold an emergency summit in Paris in Europe on February 17 to discuss security issues.
However, the head of the foreign policy department of France did not clarify, the leaders of which European countries will participate in the emergency summit.
According to Reuters, citing five European diplomats, representatives of France, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain and Denmark will take part in the event. (Its delegation will be represented, in particular, by the Baltic States and Scandinavia).
