Details: The meeting between Starmer and Macron took place in Checkers House, a 16th-century building 60 km from London, which has been used as a country residence of British prime ministers for more than 100 years.

The communique noted that the situation in Ukraine was “at the center of the conversation.”
“Both leaders reaffirmed their desire to closely coordinate actions to support Ukraine as long as necessary. They emphasized the importance of continuing the supply of weapons necessary to defend Ukraine’s territories and guaranteeing continued financial support for Ukraine beyond 2025. They also emphasized the importance of providing Ukraine with security guarantees to protect it from new aggression,” added the Elysée Palace.
