According to the police, on December 20, around 3:40 p.m., Russian troops attacked the city of Izyum, using guided aerial bombs.
As a result of the shelling, the territory of a non-working industrial enterprise, a cafe building, the City Palace of Culture, an apartment building and civilian cars were damaged. The private residential building was completely destroyed.
Earlier, the State Emergency Service reported that Russian forces dropped several aerial bombs on the city of Izyum in the Kharkiv region. According to rescuers, they unblocked the bodies of two people from a private residential building destroyed by a Russian aerial bomb.
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
