Details: Lavrov, who has been the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry for more than 20 years, did not appear at an important meeting of the Russian Security Council, which Putin held on November 5.

The Russian “Kommersant”, citing sources, wrote that Lavrov was “consensually absent” from the meeting of the Security Council, at which Putin instructed to work out proposals for resumption of nuclear tests. At the same time, the Foreign Minister was the only permanent member of the Security Council who missed this meeting.
In addition, Lavrov lost the status of the head of the Russian delegation at the G20 summit, which will be held in November. This year, it will be headed by the deputy head of the administration of the President of the Russian Federation Maksym Oreshkin. As Kremlin press secretary Dmytro Peskov said, the decision to appoint Oreshkin was made by Putin.

- On October 26, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that his conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on October 20 went “really well”, if the US as a result of this conversation, their personal meeting was cancelled.
