An unknown man came to the apartment of the Executive Director of The Kyiv Independent Daryna Shevchenko, photographed the door and collecting information about it – said Olga Rudenko, editor -in -chief of Kyiv Independent. She has publicly asked for help in identifying this man who got to the surveillance cameras.

“He tried to interview neighbors who quickly raised suspicion. Darina’s photo showed. Anything photographed the door and the common door on the floor. The house of this guy was brought to the local housing office. Workers say he showed a certificate, but they do not admit which. They are obviously scared. They will then be asked by the police, ”Rudenko wrote on Facebook.

According to her, Darina Shevchenko wrote a statement of persecution, and the editorial staff is waiting for the police “actions and finding out what it was.”

“Darina has no personal conflicts or cases that may concern. The only version is related to its activities as the executive director of The Kyiv Independent, and with our journalistic work. Such a collection of information can be one of the actions in the framework of the pre -trial investigation, or just a way of pressure, ”she added.

Radio Liberty turned to law enforcement agencies for comment.
