Earlier, a number of media reported that the Trump administration had stopped the US -funded initiative that documented likely Russian war crimes, including a confidential database on mass deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia.

Thus, the researchers of the Laboratory of Humanitarian Studies of Yale University have lost access to a huge amount of information, including satellite images and biometric data that allows to track persons and the residence of 35,000 children from Ukraine.

On March 20, the State Department of CSC denied that the data on the abducted Russian children had been destroyed.
