Kuleba: forced evacuation of families with children was announced in 44 front-line settlements of two regions

Due to the difficult security situation, the Coordination Headquarters decided to forcibly evacuate more than three thousand children together with their parents from 44 front-line settlements of the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction, Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba said in a telegram.

According to him, in Zaporizhzhia region, 651 children are being evacuated from 4 settlements of two communities, and in Dnipropetrovsk region, 2,463 children are being evacuated from 40 settlements of five communities.

Kuleba said that since June 1, 150,000 people have already been evacuated from the frontline areas to safer areas, including almost 18,000 children and more than 5,000 people with limited mobility.

The Russian army crossed the administrative border with Dnipropetrovsk Oblast this fall, launching an offensive in the direction of Pokrovsky. The pace of progress in the Novopavlovsk direction was sometimes up to 10 kilometers per day. Currently, according to DeepState, the villages of Ternove, Berezovo, Kalinivske, Novomykolaivka, Zaporizka, and Novoselivka are occupied in the region.

Also, Russian troops began to actively advance in another direction – OleksandrovskyThe junction of the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, formerly the Novopavlivskyi directionin the Zaporizhzhia region.

According to the representative of the UNHCR in Ukraine, Karolina Lindholm Billing, as of September 2025, 3.7 million people have the status of internally displaced persons. Since the beginning of this year alone, more than 190,000 Ukrainians have been forced to leave their homes due to hostilities in the Donetsk, Kharkiv and Sumy regions. Of them, more than 35,000 were in various transit centers after evacuation.
