According to him, traffic for trucks is temporarily restricted on the M-06 highway in the Rivne region, and traffic on the M-06 in the Zhytomyr region in the direction of Rivne is also restricted.
Kuleba warned that additionally in Lviv Oblast, movement towards Rivne Oblast on M-06 may be restricted.
As he said in a telegram, road services are working in an intensified mode to eliminate the consequences of heavy snowfall – more than 970 units of equipment and more than a thousand people are working on the roads.
According to Kuleba, significant snow is currently recorded in the western regions, special equipment is working on the passes, icicles and icy rain in the northern and central regions, and rain and difficult weather conditions in the eastern and northeastern regions.
He also urged drivers to refrain from long journeys without an urgent need.
Earlier, the State Transport Safety Service of Ukraine warned of the risk of traffic stoppages in Zakarpattia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions due to snowfall.
According to the Ministry of Energy, due to bad weather in the morning, power was completely or partially cut off in several oblasts, including Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia oblasts.
Deteriorating weather conditions expected in Ukraine will put additional strain on critical infrastructure already under Russian attacks. The government announced the adoption of a number of decisions so that the relevant services were prepared for bad weather and could provide timely assistance.
