Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported on the consequences of the air attack that took place in the afternoon of January 16.

“In the Solomyansk district of the capital, an unmanned aerial vehicle wreckage damaged a car. The engine and partially the interior of the car were destroyed. There is no fire. There are also no casualties at the moment,” the mayor of the capital informs.

An air alert was announced in Kyiv at 12:08 p.m., and the authorities announced a strike at 12:29 p.m.

According to reports, Russian drones were entering the capital from several directions, and the air defense forces were working on them.

The air attack coincided with the visit of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to Kyiv.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
