Details: Commenting on information about the new US “peace plan” of 28 points, which was learned by the American media, Callas noted that these “latest news” will also be the subject of discussion at the meeting.

“We, as Europeans, have always advocated the achievement of a lasting, sustainable and just peace, and we welcome any efforts aimed at this. Of course, for any plan to work, it must involve Ukraine and Europe… Ukrainians and Europeans must also agree to these plans,” Kallas said.
She noted that it is also important to remember that in the case of the Russian-Ukrainian war there is an aggressor country and a country that was attacked.
“So far, we have not heard of any concessions from Russia… If Russia really wanted peace, it could have agreed to an unconditional ceasefire some time ago, but instead we are seeing strikes on civilians again. 93% of Russian targets are civilian infrastructure, i.e. schools, hospitals, residential buildings – in order to kill as many people and cause as much suffering as possible,” Kallas noted.
“We welcome all meaningful efforts to end this war – but, as has already been said, it must be about a just and lasting peace. And this also means that both Ukrainians and Europeans must agree to this plan,” Kallas added.
