“According to Alexei Shepap, in order to have success, Ukrainian forces must constantly be “ahead of the enemy””, – WRITE: www.radiosvoboda.org
According to him, in order to have success, the Ukrainian forces must constantly be “ahead of the enemy.”
“Once we could safely go into the bay of Sevastopol on drones, now it’s not easy. Because the enemy has made an echelorated defense system. It starts with an echelovic detection system, a distant, medium, near area of detection of our unmanned systems. Then the order of their destruction … And, of course, to overcome it, we must make other decisions, technical decisions, first of all … We must be more flexible, we must be smarter, go in technology always ahead. And those drones that were simply kamikadze were almost a story. Now all drones, sea drones, should already carry a variety of weapons, with different areas of use, to be more efficient and have success, ”she said.
When asked whether there were analogues of such drones in Russia, the Navy commander noted that the forces of the Russian Federation are “trying to do it”.
“There were several applications, more or less successful. And they work on it. And we are also preparing to reflect these drones, their use. Therefore, as during the war on the land for them it was new, and now, you see, now there is a war of drones. So at sea: they are also preparing to do the same things. Therefore, we are also preparing for this not only to use drones against the enemy, but also to defend themselves from them, ”she said.
Since August 2022, the sounds of explosions are heard regularly in Crimea. In an interview with Radio Liberty in August 2023, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense Cyril Budanov declared the ability of Ukrainian forces to reach any point of occupied Crimea to defeat the enemy. According to him, there are many different options for the de -occupation of Crimea, but “without military, it is impossible.”
