Details: According to analysts, the new unit-the 7th separate reconnaissance and auditorial regiment of unmanned systems-was formed in the Central military district of Russia by 1 342 servicemen as of April 2024 was completed by 94%. Personnel preparation occurs on the basis of the 473th District Training Center of the Russian Federation.
The structure of the regiment includes the command warehouse, a shock battalion of unmanned systems, three reconnaissance battalions, as well as logistics units, including communications, medical and repair units. 102 subordinate units are planned: 41 shock and 61 intelligence.
Since July 2024, Russian volunteer groups have launched crowdfunding campaigns to support this regiment, which operates in the occupied territories of Zaporizhzhya region.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also reported the reorganization of non -formal units and other specialists in “combined technical battalions”. By October 2024, several unmanned unmanned systems were formed on the basis of the Center for Prospective Unmanned technologies “Rubicon”, as well as the creation of five more such units.
