On December 23, Germany updated the list of military aid to Ukraine, adding Leopard 1 A5 tanks, IRIS-T SLM/SLS anti-aircraft missile systems and Patriot launchers.

Details: Germany handed Ukraine the IRIS-T SLM (medium-range) anti-aircraft missile system with missiles, as well as the IRIS-T SLS (short-range).
The package of military aid also included two Patriot launchers.
In addition, it included:
- 15 Leopard 1 A5 tanks;
- two Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled guns;
- 30 MRAP armored vehicles with mine protection;
- self-propelled howitzer PzH 2000;
- 12 armored vehicles with kinetic defense systems;
- two TRML-4D radars;
- guided missiles AIM-9L/I-1 Sidewinde;
- ammunition for Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 tanks;
- 120 GMW grenade launchers,
- 52 thousand 155-mm shells,
- 65 thousand ammunition for Gepard installations.
- 30 Vector drones, 24 RQ-35 Heidrun drones, 14 Hornet XR drones;
- 5 self-defense systems of AMPS helicopters;
- 45 diving scooters;
- 12 Zetros trucks and eight Zetros fuel stations.
Small arms were also included in the package:
- 200 MG4 machine guns;
- 420 MK 556 rifles;
- 80 HLR 338 sniper rifles;
- 100 CR 308 rifles.
In addition, Germany also handed over generators, turnstiles, tents, mortar ammunition of 120-mm mines, equipment for demining, as well as cartridges for small arms.
In early September, Scholz announced that Germany had ordered a total of 17 IRIS-T air defense systems for Ukraine. These are eight medium-range systems (SLM) and another nine short-range (SLS).
During a visit to Kyiv in early December, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz confirmed that the sixth IRIS-T SLM system will arrive in Ukraine by the end of the year.
On December 20, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukraine received the sixth IRIS-T SLM air defense system from Germany.
