The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Abbas Arakchi, warned the European states that the submission of a resolution against Iran at the meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors could seriously complicate the situation. The statement was made during a telephone conversation with a French colleague.

According to Arakci, the three European countries promoting this resolution should be aware of the possible consequences of their actions, as this could cause further escalation of tensions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran confirmed that this position was expressed in the context of the discussion of the country’s nuclear program in the international arena.
