In the Kostiantynivka area, Russian forces launched 26 attacks near key locations including Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiyivka, and Stepanivka. Meanwhile, in the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 31 assaults in various settlements such as Bilitske, Rodynske, and Myrnohrad, among others. The report also noted that Russian forces attempted attacks in the vicinity of Hanniivka.
Additionally, the General Staff reported ten attacks each in the Oleksandrivka and Huliaipole directions, and twelve in the Kupiansk direction. Fighting persisted across several other fronts, including South Slobozhanske, Lyman, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Orikhiv.
Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi stated on March 26 that intense combat operations continue in the southern operational zone, with Ukrainian forces closely monitoring the repositioning of Russian troops.
In an interview with Radio Svoboda on March 19, Ruslan Habinet, commander of the 5th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, noted that Ukrainian defense units maintain control over certain sections of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in Donetsk.
