On April 6, a significant escalation in hostilities was reported along the eastern front in Ukraine, with a total of 121 combat engagements occurring since the start of the day. The Pokrovsk direction alone witnessed 25 confrontations.
The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian forces conducted 51 airstrikes, deploying 162 guided bombs. Additionally, they utilized 5,950 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,407 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Russia executed five airstrikes using 13 guided bombs and launched 72 assaults on Ukrainian positions and civilian areas, including six strikes with multiple rocket launchers. Three combat clashes were noted in this sector.
In the Southern Slobozhansky area, Russian troops attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses twice. The Kupiansk direction saw four attacks, while Ukrainian forces repelled four assaults in the Lyman area.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy made five attempts to advance. The Kramatorsk area experienced three attacks, and the Konstantynivka sector faced 17 assaults from Russian forces.
In addition to the 25 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy launched 11 assaults in the Oleksandrivka area and seven in the Hulyaipole direction. Ukrainian defenders successfully thwarted one advance attempt in the Orikhiv direction and reported four storming actions in the Dniprovsk area.
The conflict in eastern Ukraine intensified on April 6, with over 120 combat incidents reported, particularly in the Pokrovsk region. Russian forces executed numerous airstrikes and drone attacks, highlighting the ongoing volatility in the area.
