Recent reports from the Ukrainian General Staff indicate a significant escalation in hostilities, with 230 combat engagements recorded over the past day. The most critical situations are unfolding in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole directions.
According to the morning briefing on February 27, Russian forces executed two missile strikes involving 44 missiles and conducted 80 airstrikes, deploying 268 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, they utilized 6,607 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,154 shelling incidents targeting Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas, including 71 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Northeastern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled one attack from Russian forces. Meanwhile, in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna area, the aggressors launched 13 assaults in and around the settlements of Starytsia, Pishchane, Kruhlyakivka, Nesterne, Chuhunivka, and towards Zelenyi and Okhrimivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, six attacks were recorded near Kruhlyakivka and towards Kurylivka, Bohuslavka, and Novoplatonivka. The Lyman direction saw 14 assaults, with Russian forces attempting to advance towards Chervonyi Stav, Novoiehorivka, Drobysheve, Stavky, Lyman, and the areas of Zarichne and Novoselivka.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled eight attempts by the enemy to gain ground near Yampol, Zakytne, and towards Rai-Oleksandrivka. The Kramatorsk direction experienced two attempts by Russian troops to advance in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Bondarne.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces executed 24 attacks in and around the settlements of Oleksandro-Shultine, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiyivka, Rusyn Yar, and towards Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Berestka, Stepaniivka, Sofiivka, and Novopavlivka.
Ukrainian defenders successfully halted 50 offensive actions by Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction, particularly in the areas of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Udachne, Muravka, Filia, and towards the settlements of Bilytske, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, and Novopidhorodne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces conducted 10 attacks in the vicinity of the settlements of Ternove, Zlahoda, and towards Verbove, Vyshneve, and Oleksandrhrad. The Huliaipole direction saw 35 attempts to advance in the areas of Dobropillia, Huliaipole, and towards the settlements of Zaliznychne, Staroukraïinka, Hirke, Varvarivka, Olenokostianivka, Sviatopetrivka, and Charivne.
In response, Ukrainian missile and artillery units targeted two areas of personnel concentration and three other significant Russian military assets over the past day.
