On the evening of January 7, the Russian military will attack Zaporizhzhia, the head of the OVA, Ivan Fedorov, said.

“The enemy struck Zaporizhzhia again. Damaged commercial object. Previously, there were no casualties,” the head of the region wrote at 6:38 p.m.

Before that, around the 18th, Fedorov informed about another strike.

“The explosions that Zaporizhia residents could hear are an enemy attack on one of the city’s districts. Fortunately, there were no casualties. However, the attack continues – residents of communities where the alarm has been declared should stay in safe places,” said the head of the OVA.

As of 19:00, the air alert in Zaporizhzhia and most of the region continues.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
