According to Driscoll’s press secretary, Lt. Col. Jeff Tolbert, the US Secretary of the Army arrived in Abu Dhabi on Monday and held talks with Russian officials throughout Tuesday.
“Secretary Driscoll and his team are negotiating with the Russian delegation to achieve lasting peace in Ukraine. Negotiations are progressing well and we remain optimistic. Driscoll is working closely with the White House and the US interagency team as these negotiations move forward,” Tolbert said.
According to the interlocutor, the Ukrainian delegation led by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyryll Budanov, is also in Abu Dhabi and is conducting negotiations with both American and Russian teams.
