“In recent days in Sumy region, it has become very hot, the enemy increased the density of shelling throughout the state border of Sumy region with the Russian Federation. And it is impossible to allocate a separate settlement now, where the most powerful shelling, a separate community or a separate area – the whole territory of Sumy region is fired by the enemy, fired very intensively. This is especially true of border communities, which are actually destroyed, unfortunately, by the enemy, ”the military said.

According to him, Russian troops cannot break the border, so they focus on the terror of the civilian population, forcing people to leave their homes.

“If they (Russian troops – ed.) They felt that somewhere you could break through the border of Sumy region and go deep into the territory, they would do so. We see an increase in the event’s attempts to the territory in recent days, but all of them are sown, absolutely all DRGs are destroyed, or the enemy, in fact, departs from their positions with losses. Therefore, we are ready to repel in every case, we repel this way. As a result, we see that today Russian troops are more terrorizing the civilian population, the civilian population to leave or worry somewhere for their safety, for their lives. Defense forces respond adequately, and we are ready to stand and we fully control the situation on the border, ”Lantushenko said.
