One person was killed in Sumy Oblast yesterday due to Russian shelling, the regional military administration reported.

“Novoslobidsk community: launch of anti-tank missiles (nine explosions), shelling using FPV drones (two explosions), as a result of which one civilian was killed,” the message says.

The OVA noted that during yesterday’s day, the Russian military carried out 90 shelling of the border territories and settlements of the Sumy region.

“191 explosions were recorded. The communities of Sumy, Mykolayiv, Khotyn, Myropil, Bilopol, Rychkiv, Krasnopil, Velikopysariv, Putivl, Novoslobid, Glukhiv, Esman, Shalygin, Druzhbiv, Seredino-Bud have come under fire,” the administration reported.

On September 5, the authorities of the Sumy region expanded the mandatory evacuation from Shostkinsky and Konotopsky districts due to Russian shelling.

The forces of the Russian Federation regularly attack Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
