In court in the capital of the Russian Federation Moscow, the prosecution asks to appoint seven years in absentia to the writer Dmitry Bykov in absentia – in the case of the spread of “fakes” about the army of the Russian Federation and failure to fulfill the duties of a “foreign agent”, reports the newspaper “Mediazon”.

The case of “fakes” about the Russian army against the writer was violated through an interview with the YouTube channel “Popular Policy”. In October 2023, the writer spoke of a Russian blow to the mistakes in the village of Groz in the Kharkiv region, which resulted in 59 people.

In the case of refusal of Bykov to put a duck “Inagent” refers to publications in his telegram channel from February 22 to February 25, 2025.

The lawyer Olga Podopleliv called Bykov’s persecution politically motivated.

Dmitry Bykov, who is currently working at one of the US universities, was arrested in absentia on August 8. At the meeting, the investigator said that Bykov “for a long time disagreeing with domestic and foreign policy” of Russia.
