In the Russian Federation, the tutor was fined for the children’s song “Cancel War”

The court in Ussururi in the Far East of the Russian Federation recognized as a children’s production for the Victory Day, during which the song “Mile, Good Adults, Cancel War!” The tutor of the Lyceum “Russian Railways” Dina Anishchyk, who participated in the production of a children’s theater studio, was fined 30 thousand rubles. About it writes the newspaper “Land”, which revealed a court decision in his file.

At the Festival “The Land of Wonders”, as “layout” writes, the children sang a song, and also showed posters with the inscription “No War!” Russian, English and Ukrainian. Police officers who saw a video of the speech drawn up a protocol on discrediting the army, believing that the Anyshchyk, having organized a speech, “performed public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.” The court decided that in the song and performance there was a “call to stop a special military operation”, that is, a war against Ukraine.

The Anishchyk did not admit guilty, noting that the text of the song was agreed with the organizers. “Land” notes that the song “Cancel War” is written by a member of the Union of Writers of Russia Tatiana Vetrova and is often performed at music children’s competitions and performances on anniversary of military conflicts. The army discredited article was included in the Criminal Code shortly after the start of a full -scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. It is usually held accountable for opponents of war, both for expressing with its direct conviction, and for the phrases “no war” or “world – peace”, which formally do not mention the war against Ukraine. Two administrative cases under the article on discrediting are already criminal prosecution.
