In Russia, the Court of Appeal left unchanged a verdict by the former Moscow Municipal MP Alexei Gorinov in the case of justification of terrorism, reports the mediaton. In a set of two sentences, he will be in prison for another five years.

On the appeal, 63-year-old Gorinov was present on video. During the debate, the politician tried to speak with the last word in which he once again declared his anti -war position.

According to journalists, due to the poor connection of the word Gorinov it was almost impossible to disassemble. Among other things, he spoke of the “meaningless admiration and accession of other people’s territories”, as well as “a cynical scheme of moral corruption by the temptation of murder of himself or complicity in murder for money”, writes “Mediazon”.

The judge has repeatedly interrupted the politician, stating that his speech is “not concerning the case” and “can be a basis for bringing” to criminal liability. As a result, the court deprived Gorinov’s ability to finish his speech.

According to the publication “Important History”, earlier the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has repeatedly stated that judges should not interfere with the defendants with the last word, and deprivation of the right to express their opinion is interpreted as a violation of criminal procedural law and entails cancellation of the sentence.
