Details: According to the investigation, the detainee was a 36-year-old unemployed resident of Poltava region, who in February 2025 agreed to cooperate with a representative of the Russian special service through the Telegram messenger.
For cash, he transferred information about the placement of medical institutions where the Ukrainian military is being treated, as well as routes of patrols of mobile firearms that protect the airspace of the region.
In order to avoid exposing, the man periodically changed the SIM card, acted carefully, checking the data collected on the terrain, and showing the necessary information among the acquaintances.
During searches, the attacker seized mobile phones and seven-cards with a correspondence with a representative of the special service of the Russian Federation.
Under the procedural guidance of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor’s Office, he was informed about suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – State betrayal in the conditions of martial law.
The court chose the suspect a preventive measure – detention. He is threatened with life imprisonment with the confiscation of property.
