In the Kupyan region, the Russian army tried to destroy the crossing over the Oskil, the evacuation of the population continues – the authorities

“The most disturbing thing is that on the left bank of the Oskol there remain about 1,660 residents of the district in Kurylivska, Kindrashivska and Kupyanska communities””, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org

In the Kupyan Oblast, Russian troops attacked a crossing over the Oskil River at night, Oleg Sinegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said during the telecast.

“Tonight (January 6 – ed.) the enemy tried to destroy the civil transport infrastructure, the crossing from the left bank (Oskolu – ed.) to the right, which made the delivery of humanitarian goods and evacuation measures more difficult. We are currently working on restoration. However, this work is permanent for us, because the enemy tries to destroy our logistics almost every day,” Sinegubov said.

At the same time, Andrii Kanashevich, the head of the Kupyan district military administration, emphasized on the air of “Suspilny” that “the situation as a whole remains unchanged – it is tense, the shelling does not stop.”

“Firing takes place along the entire line of contact, starting from Dvorichna and ending with Kruglyakivka. In the morning, Kindrasivka was under fire, previously from artillery. Fortunately, no one was injured in the damaged houses. Yesterday, the Kupyansk-Vuzlovoy, Kivsharivka, and Osynovoy districts were thrown with anti-aircraft guns, this is all of the Kupyansk city district,” Kanashevich informed.

He added that “the enemy is actively using FPV drones.”

“The most disturbing thing is that about 1,660 residents of the district remain on the left bank of the Oskol in the Kurylivska, Kindrashivska and Kupyanska communities,” Kanashevich said.

At the same time, he assured that “evacuation is also carried out from the most dangerous settlements, involving the military.”

“If we are talking about Petropavlivka, it is a kilometer to the front line. Kruglyakivka, Kolisnikovka are settlements that are actually the front line, and where the enemy is constantly trying to carry out assaults. These settlements are the most difficult from the point of view of evacuation,” said the head of the RVA.

Earlier there were reports that a small number of Russian troops were able to enter Kupyansk, but the Strategic Communications Center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces refuted them, noting that the city is completely under the control of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and Ukrainian soldiers stopped the enemy’s advance on Kupyansk.

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian forces were already occupying Kupyansk. But in September 2022, the city was liberated from Russian troops.
