During the election campaign, Okamura made a number of anti-Ukrainian statements, in particular regarding the restriction of the rights of Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic. After the election of the chairman of the Chamber of Deputies, the current government is expected to resign. On October 27, the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel instructed the leader of the populist party ANO Andrej Babis to form the government. The party won the most votes according to the results of the parliamentary elections in the Czech Republic on October 3-4.
