In Spain, the liquidation of the consequences of a severe flood continues. Garbage and mudflows have clogged drains in many cities in Valencia, and they are still unusable. To remove the blockage, workers apply pressurized water to soften the dirt and draw it through another pipe.
At least 100 hydraulic lifters are deployed in the affected areas, 25 of them in the municipality of Paiport.
So far, 60% of the Paiporta sewage system has been cleaned, but the sewer pipes have not yet been drained.
There is a serious sewage problem in Paiport. Therefore, we cannot flush water or waste down the drain as this will exacerbate the problem
In addition, the garages are still full of dirt, which can lead to leaks in the water supply network. Local residents have joined the cleaning work and are manually cleaning the premises from clay mixed with water. At the same time, numerous tests of drinking water were conducted, which showed that the water is suitable for use.
According to Spanish health officials, few infections have been detected, and those that have been found to be minor.
