In the Russian city of Kaluga, an enterprise caught fire after a drone attack, Kaluga Oblast Governor Vladyslav Shapsha reported on November 25.

According to him, on the night of November 25, eight drones were shot down over the city. Due to the fall of fragments of downed drones, an industrial enterprise, the name of which the governor did not specify, caught fire. Later, Shapsha reported that the fire was extinguished. According to preliminary information, there are no victims, he wrote in the Telegram channel.

Telegram channels “Oberezhno, Novyny” and Baza claim that after the drone attack, the reservoir of the local oil refinery and the Kaluga instrument-making plant “Typhoon” caught fire. There is no confirmation of this information. A video, allegedly from the scene of the fire at the refinery, is also being published online.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia reported that during the night of November 25, air defense forces destroyed and intercepted 23 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory.

Since the beginning of 2024, Russian refineries have been regularly attacked by Ukrainian drones. At some plants, primary oil processing units failed and required repair. However, already in April, Russia was able to partially restore the capacities of key oil refineries.
