The Sverdlovsk Regional Court sentenced Volodymyr Aleksandrov, a 41-year-old resident of Nizhny Tagil, to life imprisonment. According to the verdict, he raped and killed an 11-year-old girl, and also raped and illegally deprived a 20-year-old girl of her liberty, Mediazona reports.

According to the investigation, at the beginning of August 2024, Aleksandrov lured a girl into his room. He raped her and then kept her out of the room for four hours.

On August 30, Aleksandrov committed the same crime against 11-year-old girl Nastya Yakina, who lived next door. He persuaded the child to visit him, raped the schoolgirl, and then, in order to hide the traces of the crime, led her to the entrance to the basement of the house, pushed her down, and, jumping behind her, strangled her. The girl was searched for several days.

Aleksandrov was detained at the beginning of September of the same year in Moscow. The local publication E1 called him a participant in the war and wrote that he had already been convicted of rape and sexual violence. According to the publication, Aleksandrov wanted to fly from Moscow to Chechnya to sign a new contract there.
