It is noted that on Sunday, January 12, several thousand people protested in Bucharest against the decision of the Constitutional Court to cancel the 2024 presidential elections. The protest, initiated by the AUR party, started at 14:00 on University Square and continued with a march on the city’s main square.
Demonstrators demanded the annulment of the Constitutional Court’s decision to annul the results of the presidential election and the extension of the powers of President Klaus Iohannis.
