An investigative team and police leadership went to the scene. The police began to inspect the premises and, climbing to the second floor, heard a click characteristic of passing passion to grenades. Law enforcement officers quickly responded and have time to run, and after a few seconds there was an explosion. No one was injured.
In examining the territory, the employees of the explosive service found another explosive, which did not detonate.
Law enforcement officers promptly detained the executors of the terrorist attack. They turned out to be two 18-year-old residents of Rivne: “By ordering Russian military intelligence, they made two homemade explosive devices (SVPs), which were equipped with battle grenades, screws and phones for remote exploration.”
All components for the explosives were taken away from a specific place pointed out by the Russian curator. According to him, they masked the traps, installed motion sensors and video cameras with remote access to the customers of the terrorist attack.
With the involvement of special forces, law enforcement officers detained both persons involved in their place of residence.
The detainees were informed about the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2. Art. 258 of the Criminal Code (terrorist act). The attackers were chosen in custody. They are threatened with 10 years in prison.
