Details: Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty stipulates that Member States conduct joint consultations when, in their opinion, there is a threat to the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the Member States.

On September 10, the Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported that the country was applying to NATO Allies for consultations in accordance with Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty after the invasion of Russian drones.
Schlapka said that NATO had applied the relevant article, and also noted that consultations had already taken place under the procedure.
