In Odessa region, on October 2, the day of mourning was declared in connection with the death in Odessa due to the bad weather of nine people, said Oleg Kiper, head of the regional military administration.

“Among those who died are five members of the same family, including a child. It is an unspeakable pain for the whole of Odessa and our common loss. Tomorrow on the day of mourning on buildings of authorities, enterprises, institutions and organizations of the region will be released state flags of Ukraine, and entertainment measures are limited, ”Kiper wrote in a telegram.

Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov noted that the element has caused serious destruction of the city’s infrastructure.

“According to preliminary data, in all districts of Odessa flooded: 286 private homes, 384 apartment buildings. The most affected by the Kiev district – 185 private homes and 200 high -rise buildings. Roads and engineering networks were significant, ”he wrote in the telegram.

According to Trukhanov, 70 trees and large branches are overthrown in the city due to bad weather.
