The number of injured as a result of the Russian missile attack on Odesa, as a result of which eight people died, has increased to 39, Oleg Kiper, the head of Odesa OVA, reported on November 18.

According to him, among the dead are “doctors, policemen, ordinary civilians”.

“39 people were injured, including four children aged 7, 10 and two 11 years old. Children in a condition of moderate severity are hospitalized. Also, 30 adults are in hospitals, three of them are in extremely serious condition. Our doctors do everything possible and impossible to save everyone’s life and health. Help was provided to other victims on the spot,” the head of the region said.

The Russian military launched a missile attack on Odessa around noon on November 18.

A day earlier, the local authorities reported two deaths, an injured teenager and interruptions in the supply of heat, water and electricity in Odesa due to the Russian strike on November 17. Two of the dead were employees of Ukrenergo.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
