On the night of January 18, the Russian military attacked the south of Odesa with attack drones, as a result of which a fire broke out at an energy infrastructure facility, reported the head of the regional military administration Oleg Kiper.

“The production building, the property of the enterprise was damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties. The fire was promptly extinguished by rescuers. Relevant services continue to work on the spot,” he wrote in a telegram.

Earlier today, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that the Russian army attacked Ukraine at night with more than 200 UAVs, most of which were neutralized by air defense forces, but 30 drones were hit.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi reported that Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi and Odesa regions were under attack, two dead and dozens injured.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
