The State Bureau of Investigation opened criminal proceedings on the possible beating of a military manner by the employees of the Ship District Territorial Center for Acquisition and Social Support in Nikolaev.

Details: According to the DBR, the incident happened on July 14, 2025 during mobilization measures. According to preliminary information, the man was wanted, but the actions of RTC employees could go beyond their official powers.

The proceedings were opened under Part 5 of Art. 426-1 of the Criminal Code – the excess of power or official authority by a military personnel, which caused grave consequences. The sanction provides up to 12 years in prison.

The procedural leadership is carried out by the Nikolaev specialized prosecutor’s office in the field of defense of the Southern region. The pre -trial investigation is ongoing.

Recall:

  • On June 3, the DBR employees reported the suspicion of the officer and two military Dubensky District Territorial Center for the acquisition and social support in Rivne region due to the fact of forced mobilization of the military.
