Details: Authorities said Atso Martynovych, who is suspected of killing at least 10 people in Cetinje on January 1, tried to avoid arrest by shooting himself in the head after police called on him to hand over his weapon.
Shchepanovych’s direct speech: “He was surrounded, a ring was created. He found himself in a hopeless situation, surrounded from all sides, and after being ordered to hand over his weapon, he shot himself in the head. After receiving injuries, they tried to transport him to the Clinical Center of Montenegro, but he died on the way.”
Details: The police director thanked the Martynovich family, who, according to him, helped the police identify the suspect.
“They reported that he had certain deviations in communication, and all the dead were his godfathers, friends or acquaintances with whom he spent the most time. The motive for this act is still unknown,” Shchepanovych said.
